Located in Bogor, just outside Jakarta, Jagorawi Golf & Country Club is one of the more established golf destinations in the area. What makes Jagorawi different from many other golf clubs around Jakarta is the variety of courses available, with two 18-hole courses — the Old Course and New Course — as well as the 9-hole Z Course.
Despite being located in the Bogor area, access is surprisingly convenient. The club is located close to the toll road exit, and from Jakarta, the drive typically takes me around 40–50 minutes when traffic is reasonable.
Jagorawi is also a course that rewards accuracy and course management. Narrow fairways, mature trees, frequent doglegs, and relatively fast greens can make the round challenging, but that is also part of what makes the course enjoyable for more experienced golfers.
In this guide, I’ll share my experience playing at Jagorawi, including the different courses, difficulty, weekend prices, clubhouse food, and a few things worth knowing before you play.
Three Courses, Three Different Options
One of the biggest advantages of Jagorawi Golf & Country Club is the variety of golf available in one location. The club has two full 18-hole courses — the Old Course and New Course — as well as the 9-hole Z Course, giving golfers a total of 45 holes to choose from.
In my experience, members are more commonly assigned to the Old Course, while regular guests are usually directed to the New Course. This can vary depending on the day, availability, and booking conditions, but as a guest, the New Course is the one you are more likely to play.
Having multiple courses is one of the reasons Jagorawi remains interesting even after several visits. Instead of playing the same layout every time, there are different course options and different challenges to experience.
A Course That Rewards Accuracy
Jagorawi is not an especially forgiving golf course. Like many courses around Bogor, the layout is surrounded by mature trees, but the real challenge comes from the relatively narrow fairways and frequent dogleg holes.
If you struggle to keep the ball straight or cannot shape your shots when needed, some holes can become difficult to manage. Distance alone is not always an advantage here. Choosing the right direction from the tee and positioning the ball for your next shot can be more important than simply hitting it as far as possible.
The greens also tend to be relatively fast, which adds another challenge once you reach the putting surface.
For golfers with some experience, however, this is exactly what makes Jagorawi enjoyable. The course encourages you to think about each shot rather than simply reaching for the driver on every tee.
Easy Access from Jakarta
Although Jagorawi Golf & Country Club is located in the Bogor area, getting there from Jakarta is relatively convenient.
One of the biggest advantages is its location close to the toll road exit. Once you leave the toll road, it does not take long to reach the golf club, so there is less local-road driving compared with some other courses around Bogor.
From Jakarta, the drive usually takes me around 40–50 minutes by car when traffic is reasonable. Of course, travel time can vary significantly depending on traffic, especially on weekends and during peak hours.
For golfers living in Jakarta, this combination of a Bogor-style course surrounded by mature trees and relatively easy toll-road access makes Jagorawi a convenient option for a weekend round.
Weekend Green Fees (2026)
Weekend prices at Jagorawi vary quite a bit depending on the day and tee time. Based on the rates I experienced in 2026, Saturday morning is the most expensive period, while afternoon rounds offer much better value

- Afternoon: around IDR 1.5 million
Sunday
- Morning: around IDR 1.8 million
- Afternoon: around IDR 1.3 million
If your schedule is flexible, a Sunday afternoon round can be a good-value option compared with the more expensive Saturday morning tee times.
Prices can change depending on promotions, booking conditions, and season, so it is worth checking the latest rate before making a reservation.
Clubhouse Food Worth Staying For
One thing that stands out at Jagorawi is the clubhouse food. The restaurant has a good reputation among regular visitors, and I have even seen people come to the club mainly for a meal rather than a round of golf.
One of the dishes Jagorawi is particularly known for is its duck dish. I don’t remember the exact menu name, but it is one of the dishes worth trying after a round.
Good clubhouse food may not be the main reason to choose a golf course, but at Jagorawi, it is definitely part of the experience. Finishing a challenging round and sitting down for a good meal is a nice way to end the day.
My Experience Playing Jagorawi
What I enjoy most about Jagorawi is that the course rarely feels repetitive. With so many tree-lined holes, doglegs, and different course layouts, each round requires a little more thought than simply trying to hit the ball as far as possible.
Some holes can feel quite tight from the tee, especially when mature trees frame both sides of the fairway. A good tee shot can leave you in a comfortable position, while a small mistake can quickly make the next shot much more difficult.
This is why I find Jagorawi more enjoyable as your golf improves. Being able to control direction, choose the right club, and occasionally shape the ball makes a noticeable difference here.
It can be frustrating on a bad ball-striking day, but when your shots are working, Jagorawi is a very satisfying course to play.
Final Thoughts
Jagorawi Golf & Country Club is a great option for golfers looking for something more challenging than a straightforward resort-style course around Jakarta.
With the Old Course, New Course, and Z Course offering a total of 45 holes, there is enough variety to make repeat visits interesting. The narrow fairways, frequent doglegs, mature trees, and relatively fast greens reward accuracy and good course management, making the round especially enjoyable for golfers who like to think their way around a course.
Convenient access from the toll road is another major advantage for golfers coming from Jakarta, while the clubhouse food — especially the well-known duck dish — gives you something to look forward to after the round.
Jagorawi Golf & Country Club may not be the easiest course around Jakarta, but that is exactly why I enjoy playing here. When your shots are working, it is a very satisfying place to play.
